Mouton Cadet 2005

28102007002.jpg

We had this bottle of Mouton Cadet from the Bordeaux region. I know for sure its quite popular and my dad love this wine. Cost was about $25 @ Cold storage. The taste was dry (suckup your saliva) and seems like there’s much tannins in the wine, probably because its a young wine. There was much taste initially and the mid-tasting was quite fruitful and deep. Finish was good. Best for casual drinking if you dont mind the “dryness”.

Note: Take note that there’s blanc (white) and rouge (red) with almost the same label. So look carefully.

Raine: dry taste, strong arouma. just like most Bordeaux (the classic wine)… very french.

Nice and cheap wine from Australia. Comes in a Can form. can buy from Cheers or NTUC for about $7+. I personally recommend this for 1 person drinking. nice middle taste. got more depth. good finish also.

[will update this post once I open this can]

Tip: Small size allows u to “smuggle” into not crowded restaurants and refill ur own glass of wine. Can chill out longer !! =)

Raine: one of the weirdest.. wine in a can? obviously can’t compare to the bottled ones.. though it’s not one of the worst taste.. do it to save some $ but definitely not to impress gals..  even plain water in pink bottle will impress her more.. hee~

hmm.. not the best cabernet souvignon i’ve had.. but not too bad for $21 in singapore.. penfold’s not bad even though it’s from australia.. cabernet souvignon is always a safe choice, esp with steak..

Perfect value cabernet souvignon at $21. Easy to drink for beginners who likes to try wine tasting.  Good to go with for beginners again who likes to try them with red meat!
